Opulent ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Password (stored securely, never in plain text)
• Profile image (optional)
• Age confirmation

1.2 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or banking details. We receive:

• Transaction reference ID
• Payment status
• Transaction amount and currency
• Paystack customer code

1.3 Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Tracks and albums you stream or download
• Ratings and reviews you submit
• Search queries
• App usage patterns
• Device information (model, OS version, app version)
• IP address and approximate location (city level)

1.4 User-Generated Content

Content you upload to Opulent, including music tracks, captions, comments, reviews, and profile information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process payments and manage subscriptions, personalize your experience, track plays and analytics for artists, send transactional emails, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Paystack — payment processing
• Cloudflare — content storage (R2) and streaming
• Sentry — error tracking
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Law enforcement — when required by law

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Profile data is removed within 30 days
• Transaction records are retained for 7 years (legal requirement)
• User-uploaded content is removed within 30 days
• Purchased content remains accessible to existing purchasers

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, encrypted password storage, row-level security on all database tables, regular security audits, and end-to-end encryption for direct messages.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; export your data; and opt out of analytics and notifications. Contact us at privacy@clubculture.space.

7. How to Delete Your Account

Delete your account directly from the app:

1. Open the app — Settings (profile icon — Settings)
2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

8. Children's Privacy

Opulent is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
