Independent artists who are not registered with any collection society (SAMRO, CAPASSO, SAMPRA, or similar). You must be at least 18 years old.
Subscribe to the Producer Tier in the app. Once subscribed, you can upload tracks and albums, access your analytics dashboard, and start earning.
Yes. You own 100% of your music. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host and sell your tracks. You can remove your music at any time.
For every album or track sale, you receive 70% of the gross sale amount. Opulent retains 30% as a platform and distribution fee. No hidden fees.
70% of all net monthly subscription revenue goes into a Creator Pool. At the end of each billing cycle, your share is calculated based on how many streams your music got compared to total platform streams that month.
Your share = (Your streams this month — Total platform streams) — 70% of net subscription revenue
A stream counts when a listener plays your track for at least 30 seconds. Repeated plays from the same user within 4 hours are not double-counted.
All revenue is held in a provisional clearing account for 45 days before becoming available for withdrawal. This protects against fraudulent uploads and copyright disputes.
You need a minimum cleared balance of R100 before requesting a withdrawal.
Payouts are processed via EFT (bank transfer) on the 1st of every month into your linked South African bank account.
Yes. Your Producer Dashboard shows earnings in real time — direct sales, subscription pool allocation, cleared balance, and pending balance.
Yes, at any time from the app. Users who already purchased your music will retain access to it.
Your music is hidden from public discovery but remains on our servers. Existing purchasers retain access. Resubscribing restores everything automatically. Your earnings are never affected.
No. SAMRO, CAPASSO, and SAMPRA members cannot upload music on Opulent. If you later join a collection society, you must stop uploading and notify us within 7 days.
